Andrew M. Hawley

Areas of Expertise: Environmental and administrative law, Endangered Species Act, National Environmental Policy Act, Marine Mammal Protection Act, Clean Water Act, Ports and Waterways Safety Act
Andrew is a Staff Attorney with Defenders in Washington, DC. Andrew's work involves the use of federal environmental statutes in litigation efforts designed to both promote the conservation of imperiled species and prevent the alteration and destruction of such species habitat, in particular, focusing on the protection of the marine environment and its inhabitants.
Prior to becoming a Staff Attorney in 2004, Andrew was the Walter Kulman Legal Fellow with the organization for two years. Andrew is a member of the California Bar.
Andrew holds a B.S. in Biology from the Pennsylvania State University and a J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School.
